Alphonsa College Thiruvambady played a significant role in shaping both my academic and personal growth during my undergraduate studies. The institution provided a strong foundation in education while also encouraging leadership, discipline, teamwork, and overall personality development.

My college life at Alphonsa College Thiruvambady has been one of the most memorable and transformative phases of my life. Looking back at my time at Alphonsa College, Thiruvambady, as a BSc Psychology student from the 2019–2022 batch, I can confidently say it laid the true foundation for my career. The supportive environment and academic guidance genuinely shaped and molded me into the professional I am today.

I am deeply grateful to the college, the Psychology Department, and all my teachers for their constant support and mentorship. They didn’t just teach us academically; they encouraged our personal and professional growth. Alphonsa also gave me wonderful opportunities to explore my co-curricular talents through the various activities and programs conducted at the college.

Today, working as a School Psychologist at Kendriya Vidyalaya, I use the values, skills, and confidence I gained here every single day. Thank you, Alphonsa College, for believing in me and becoming an important part of my journey in psychology.

If I could sum up my time at Alphonsa College, it would be a journey of finding my own voice. I stepped through those gates with big, unpolished ambitions and a hesitant heart, but my teachers had a wonderful habit of seeing my potential long before I did. Alphonsa gave me the rare gift of space - space to stumble. It gave me a library that housed a thousand versions of my future, endless opportunities to speak up, and a constellation of friendships I’ll carry forever. I genuinely loved my time in Alphonsa College Thiruvambady, and I think about it often. The best part? Having teachers who actually pushed us to go and participate in other college fests and competitions across colleges in Kerala. We would take this opportunity to go as a trip to another place and participate in these fests. There we would participate in events and grab cash prizes. The most important thing was we started learning, enjoying winning and losing in life. Surprisingly, one of my new clients onboarded in our company came from the good relationships I got from one of the fests that happened in Ernakulam when i was in 2nd Year. Lastly, in the college I have got strong friendships that are lasting. Teachers who are ever-loving and a great subject that i admire.

As we look back, we feel deeply grateful for the support rendered by our teachers during our degree years here at ACT. They helped us unveil our hidden talents and provided us with valuable guidance. The moral support they offered us is quite remarkable.

Some journeys always stay close to our hearts, and for me, being a part of Alphonsa college and the Psychology Department is one of them. This is where my journey in psychology began and where I discovered my passion for mental health and understanding people.

Today, as a licensed Clinical Psychologist, I proudly look back at the confidence, learning experiences, supportive teachers, friendships, and opportunities this department gave me. Beyond academics, it shaped both my personal and professional growth.
